Celebrating Earth day in April students of grade 2, 3 ,4 & 5 collaborate in making packets of green product. Grade 2 will make an animal collage, grade 3 will make a toy robot, grade 4 will make a shopping bag, grade 5 will make an ocean in bottle decoration. All are made of recycled material such as used paper, old carton box, bottle’s cap, used plastic bottle, old t-shit, and scrap paper at home.

The project will mostly start at the end of March and will be finished collected at the end of April. Finally, the culminating activity for this eco project is selling packets of eco product for donation. Each packet is valued 30k, consist of 1 shopping bag made of old t-shirt with a toy robot, an animal collage & an ocean in bottle inside the bag. Each class will be given a target to sell 6-10 packets.

The money will be donated to SOS Children’s Villages Indonesia, an non-government organization which dedicated themselves to help children who lost their family or whose family can no longer support their basic needs (home, clothes, food, education). School with few students’ representatives will give the donation through the SOS Children Village Indonesia in early May.
